What makes CPTSD survivors self-sabotage? When something good comes your way, do you think, "This is too good to be true, so I might as well pre-empt the bad ending?"
Or do you think, "I don't deserve happiness," and so you go out your way to destroy it, whether consciously or not, so you can say, "See? I was right. I'm a bad person. I don't deserve good things."
That's the trauma speaking, not reality. #mentalhealth
